Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala scored a brace for Barcelona femini in their 6-0 rout of Rosengard in their final Champions League group stage game.
Oshoala got a baptism of fire when she received her Pichichi award for the highest goalscorer in the 2021/22 Laliga Femini season on Tuesday.
Barcelona were set to take on Rosengard in their final UEFA Champions League group fixture, and Oshoala was in good shape.
The Super Falcons star got the nod to start from Barcelona Femini coach Alon Gurfinkel, and she rewarded her boss for the opportunity.
Oshoala opened the scoring for Barcelona in the 10th minute, then she doubled their lead six minutes later.
Mapi Leon scored Barcelona’s third just before the break to give them a three-goal cushion.
Second-half goals from Fridolina Rolfo, Marta Torrejon, and Irene Paredes sealed the 6-0 win for the Spanish Queens.
Oshoala was replaced by prodigy Victoria Lopez in the 81st minute. The win seals Barcelona’s spot in the quarterfinals as they finished second above Bayern Munich.
