Aina ruled out of Torino’s first five games in 2023

Aina has been out of action for Torino since October, and he will be out of action for at least another month

Super Eagles defender Ola Aina will not return from his injury layoff till at least the end of January.

Aina scored his first goal of the season in Torino’s clash against Udinese on the 23rd of October. However, it was a bittersweet result, as the Super Eagles star also suffered an injury in the tie.

The 26-year-old right-winger was later diagnosed with a myotendinous lesion in his left hamstring, and he was expected to return before the end of the year.

However, according to Sosfanta Aina will not return in time for Torino’s first game of the year against Hellas Verona at the Stadio Olimpico di Torino.

The Super Eagles star is expected to make his return on the 28th of January when Torino play Empoli. As such, Aina will miss the games against Verona, Salernitana, AC Milan, Spezia, and Fiorentina.

Aina’s contract expires at the end of the season. His latest injury setback effectively rules out any possibility that he will leave the club during the winter transfer window.
