The former Nigeria international has been left in awe of the sparkling form of the PSG goal machine

Super Eagles hero Sunday Oliseh has lauded France forward Kylian Mbappe for his exceptional performances at the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

Mbappe has been the standout performer at the 22nd edition of the Mundial and the first to be held in the Arab world and Muslim world.

The Paris Saint-Germain star played a crucial role as France won their second-ever world title in Russia four years ago.

And the exciting attacker is back at the forefront of Les Bleus’ charge to retain the trophy in Qatar.

Mbappe has scored five goals already in Qatar, more than any other player in the tournament.

Having scored four goals in 2018, Mbappe is now on nine World Cup goals, as many goals as Argentine legend Lionel Messi and one more than Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

Oliseh has been impressed with the spectacular showing of the 23-year-old.

And the 1994 Africa Cup of Nations winner considers Mbappe a ‘genius’ and a world apart from his contemporaries.

Of Mbappe, Oliseh wrote on Twitter: “Mbappe! Mbappe!! Mbappe!!! Watching this Genius turn on the flame on Poland here in Qatar. He is simply absolute. A class act!”

Mbappe netted a brace and Giroud scored a landmark goal as France powered to a convincing 3-1 win over Poland in their Round of 16 fixture on Sunday.

Both players will need to turn on their A-game when France tackle England in the quarterfinal of the World Cup.

The Three Lions defeated Senegal in their first knockout round match to reach the final eight stage.
