The Nigerian goalkeeper has been an object of ridicule in recent times, but his show at the theatre of dream sent shockwaves to many fans
Fans took to social media to praise Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho for his superb performance for Omonia Nicosia in their 1-0 loss to Manchester United.
Uzoho was handed a rare start for Omonia when they traveled to Old Trafford to take on English giants Manchester United.
A lot of fans expected the Red Devils to run over Omonia. Also, Uzoho’s shaky record and lack of game time at his club made one almost sure that the Cypriot Champions would suffer a big blow at the theatre of dreams.
However, it was not the case. Manchester United ran Omonia ragged on the night. Rashford was sharp, and Ronaldo was always lurking around for opportunities.
Nonetheless, Uzoho stood tall making saves upon saves to keep his team in the game.
The 23-year-old made twelve saves, five of which were from point-blank range.
Unfortunately for Uzoho, he was unable to stop Scott McTominay’s 91st-minute shot that found its way into the net to seal a 1-0 victory for Manchester United.
Even though Manchester United won, Uzoho was the man of the night, as fans have showered encomiums on the Super Eagles star for his spectacular show.
Only one GOAT in this picture. He's a black man. https://t.co/aZ8CtC7Wqn

Going off #mufc's history of signing back-up goalkeepers who have had a good game against them (Heaton, Grant, Dubravka), Uzoho must fancy his chances of a transfer in a couple of years.

Uzoho turns prime Manuel Neuer playing against his boyhood club at Old Trafford. Rashford has tried everything against him – good saves everytime from the Nigerian goalkeeper.
