William Troost-Ekong equally put in the shift to help Watford keep a clean sheet against their fierce local rivals.
The Nigerian defender's goal was his first for Watford in almost two years and his second for the Golden Boys.
Troost-Ekong's first-ever goal for the Hornets was in the 3-2 defeat of Coventry City on November 7, 2020, also in the Championship.
While William Troost-Ekong played for the entire duration of the match against Luton, international teammates Samuel Kalu and Maduka Okoye witnessed the proceeding from the bench.
The win, however, lifts Watford into the top half of the Championship table, with the Golden Boys having amassed six wins, five draws, and five defeats from 16 matches.
