The Nigeria international stayed in the Czech Republic despite interest from several clubs in the summer
Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbache could be back in the market for Super Eagles and Slavia Prague forward Peter Olayinka when the transfer window reopens in January.
Fenerbahce are long-time admirers of Olayinka, and the Yellow Blues were reportedly keen on the Nigeria international in the summer.
But instead of Olayinka, Fenerbahce moved for Armindo Tué Na ‘Bruma’ Bangna, completing his loan transfer from PSV.
Burma has, however, failed to live up to expectations in Istanbul, with the Portuguese left-winger making just one league appearance so far.
Unimpressed by the 27-year-old’s contribution, Fenerbahce did not include him in their squad for the Europa League campaign.
And as per CNN Turk, Fener have already turned their attention to Slavia’s versatile winger Olayinka.
The Nigerian attacker has started the season brilliantly, netting three goals and an assist in nine matches.
In four years in Prague, the 26-year-old winger has lifted three league titles and two Czech Cups with Slavia.
Before joining the Slavists in 2018, Olayinka played for Zulte Waregem, Dukla Prague, Gent, Skenderbeu, Yenicami SK, and Bylis. The 36 Lion FC academy product has never played in Turkey.
