Leicester City coach has provided an update on the return date of the Super Eagles midfielder who was rumoured to have left the national team camp over role assignments

Brendan Rodgers spoke to the press ahead of the Foxes’ Monday clash against fellow strugglers, Nottingham Forest.

Ndidi had made an early return to England due to a hamstring injury he didn’t want to worsen.

Rodgers was happy with his star midfielder’s development in the last few days and revealed he may be available for selection in their next game.

We had Wilfred Ndidi come back early,” Rodgers confirmed on Friday. “He’s looking really positive and trained this morning so hopefully he will be fine.

Leicester sit bottom of the log with just one point after seven rounds of games.

They face the Reds, just fairly better than them and in 19th place on Monday as both teams look to put their struggles behind.

Leicester will host Nottingham Forest on Monday in a week 8 Premier League clash after having time to analyse to their struggles during the international break.

Taiwo Awoniyi and Emmanuel Dennis’ Nottingham Forest are currently on 4 points having won once and drawn once in 7 games.
