Asisat Oshoala has returned to the Super Falcons as she has been invited by Randy Waldrum ahead of the team’s pre-World Cup friendly game against Japan.

The American coach has invited 22 players including three players from the Falconets for the game in Nadeshiko, Kobe, Japan.

Profit Imuran, Tosin Demehin and Deborah Abiodun were the three Falconets players invited.

Regular suspects, Rasheedat Ajibade, Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene, Chiamaka Nnadozie, Ashleigh Plumptre and others are on the list.

Notable exclusions include captain Onome Ebi, Rita Chikwelu and Tochukwu Oluehi.

The Super Falcons are headed to Australia and New Zealand in 2023 and have been getting top-grade friendly games. Earlier in the month, they lost 4-0 and 2-1 to the United States in double friendlies. They scored their first goal against the Americans in more than 20 years in the second loss at the tour.
