The two time African Champions would look to claim their first trophy in 13 years

Two-time African champions The Super Sand Eagles of Nigeria will square off against Mozambique, Malawi, and Morocco in Group A of this year’s Beach Soccer Africa Cup of Nations.

The Super Sand Eagles will be looking to claim their first African title in 13 years when they jet out to Mozambique for the 2022 Beach Soccer AFCON.

The two-time African Champions qualified for the tournament after Lybia withdrew from the Qualifiers in August.

Nigeria will be part of the eight nations that will battle for Africa’s top prize. However, they would have to see off all advances from Malawi, Morocco, and Mozambique in Group A after the draws took place on Friday, September 16, 2022.

The Super Sand Eagles have the upper hand in terms of history going in Group A, as they are the only team that has won the competition in their group.

They would to pick all possible points from their group and progress for the next round. Especially as the competition serves as a qualifier for the Beach Soccer World Cup.

In Group B, six-time winners Senegal would square off against Uganda, Madagascar, and Egypt.

The tournament will be held in Mozambique in Vilankulo(Mozambique) between 21 and 28 October 2022.
