The 22-year-old has consistently delivered decent performances in Turkey, and the Partenopeans could be interested in his services
Italian Serie A side Napoli are interested in signing Nigerian right-back Bright Osayi-Samuel from Fenerbahce.
The last two years have been tremendous for Osayi-Samuel. Fenerbahce signed the 22-year-old defender for just €508,000 in January 2021.
However, in the last two years, the former Blackpool man has enjoyed serious growth, and according to transfermarkt, Osayi-Samuel is currently valued at €8million.
Last season, Osayi-Samuel played 43 games for the Yellow Canaries. And this season, the Okija-born defender has made ten appearances for Fenerbahce in all competitions. He seems to have caught Napoli’s attention, as Pro Future stars report that Napoli could send scouts to watch Osayi-Samuel when Fenerbahce play Besiktas on Sunday.
Napoli signed Kim Min-Jae from Fenerbahce during the summer transfer window. And considering the brilliance that the South Korean has shown a few months into his stay in Naples, the Partenopeans could return to Turkey to shop for more talents.
The Naples giants have only Alessandro Zanoli as the only backup to first choice right-back Giovanni Di Lorenzo. And club President Aurelio De Laurentiis could also be looking to add some flesh to his side by signing the Nigerian.
Osayi-Samuel is a very versatile player. He can play in defense, midfield, and even attack. As such he could be a real asset.
The 22-year-old defender was born to Nigerian parents in Okija, but he later moved to England when he was ten. Osayi-Samuel is eligible to play for England and Nigeria.
