The Super Eagles star has been splendid for the yellow Canaries in the last two years, and he is set to get rewarded
French Ligue 1 club Nantes have begun talks with Super Eagles forward Moses Simon concerning the extension of his contract.
Signing Simon from Levante in 2020 is probably one of the best piece of business that Nantes have done in recent years. The Super Eagles star has seamlessly settled into the club.
In the last two seasons, Simon has registered 24 goals and 23 assists in 109 appearances for the Ligue 1 side. He was also influential in the run-up to Nantes’ Cup triumph last season.
The 27-year-old was linked with a move to the Premier League in the summer, with Leeds United and Brighton among his suitors. However, he chose to stay in France.
This season, Moses has started like a house on fire scoring three goals in six Ligue 1 games.
His performances have not gone unnoticed, as Tribune Nantaise reports that Nantes have opened talks for a contract extension.
Simon’s expires in 2024, but coach Antoine Kombouare Nantes would hope that his talisman remains at the club longer.
