The Nigeria international has dropped several brilliant displays to convert even his worst critics to his most fervent praise-singers
Former Tottenham and England goalkeeper Paul Robinson has showered praises on Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi.
Iwobi has begun this season the way he ended last campaign, sealing his spot in the Everton starting eleven.
The Nigeria international has not missed any of the Toffees’ Premier League games this season, making the central midfield role his own.
The 26-year-old assisted Neal Maupay to fire home the winning goal against Crystal Palace last weekend for Everton’s first league win this term.
And it did not surprise many to see Iwobi nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month (September) award.
And former Blackburn goalie Paul Robinson has revealed his admiration for the ex-Arsenal man.
“I like him,” the 46-year-old told Football Insider. “I like his versatility.
“His performances have been outstanding. He’s shown that he can play off the left, off the right, he can play centrally.
“I think you can see that Frank Lampard is getting the best out of him right now.
“He’s playing some of the best football of his career right now.”

Iwobi carried his excellent club form to the national team on Friday.
The midfielder scored a fine long-range strike and produced a brilliant pre-assist for Cyriel Dessers’ goal as the Super Eagles managed a 2-2 draw with Algeria’s home-based team in a test match.
Iwobi will hope to continue in a similar fashion when Nigeria trade tackles with Algeria’s A team in an international friendly on Tuesday.
