Former Bayern Munich striker relishing race between Osimhen, Lukaku, others for Serie A Golden boot

The Italian top-flight is heating up, and a former Italy international believes that strikers would play an intricate role in deciding where the Scudetto will swing

Former Bayern Munich striker Luca Toni is relishing the race for the Serie A Golden boot between Victor Osimhen, Ciro Immobile, Dusan Vlahovic, and Romelu Lukaku.

The weekend will see game week five fixtures take center stage in the Serie A. The Italian top-flight plays host to some of the best strikers in the World, and it promises to be a goal fest.

Teun Koopmeiners and Vlahovic top the same goalscoring charts with four goals each. And at least ten players have scored more than two goals, including Super Eagles striker Osimhen.

Former Bayern Munich and Juventus star Luca Toni is excited about the battle between the strikers and believes that the Scudetto could be decided by who scores the most goals.

“This will be the Championship for attackers”, Toni told Tuttomercatoweb as per Napoli Magazine.

“Lukaku is back, there is Immobile who always scores a lot of goals. I’m happy that Osimhen is still there. It would be a great Championship.”

Napoli’s next game is a tough fixture at Lazio, and Osimhen would square off against his attacking counterpart Immobile. The Super Eagles star would look to spur his side to victory.
