At least four invited Super Eagles players have been declared unavailable for the clash against Algeria with Ahmed Musa the latest

Samuel Chukwueze, Leon Balogun, Henry Onyekuru and Ahmed Musa will all be absent for the clash against the 2019 African champions.

Chukwueze who has had a decent season at Villarreal is said to be injured according to the Nigeria Football Federation.

Balogun completed more than 90 minutes for QPR in their last league game and the club has not stated officially if he’s injured or not.

Thank you for the warm welcome you R’s!
There’s definitely room for improvement, but very pleased to go into the international break with 2 clean sheets on the spin & in the position that we’re in. pic.twitter.com/ZEqA2WlqWN

Henry Onyekuru who has found his mojo back since he returned to Turkey is also out of the game and has been replaced by another player.

Who are their replacements?

Balogun has been replaced by Ozornwafor, who was initially a surprise omission from the list with his club reporting on September 14th that he has been invited.

Nottingham Forest’s Emmanuel Dennis has replaced Henry Onyekuru while Casa Pia’s Godwin Saviour is in for Ahmed Musa.

Lobi Stars defender, Ebube Duru is in for Samuel Chukwueze ahead of the friendly in Oren.

Nigeria will be without a significant number of regular players in the game including Victor Osimhen and Sadiq Umar who are both nursing varying degrees of injuries.
