The Nigerian forward scored Nottingham Forest’s first goal in the 18th minute and his second of the season
Taiwo Awoniyi was on the scoresheet for The Reds but Fulham had the last laugh in a game that saw a six-minute slump from the hosts.
The Nigeria international had given Forest the lead in the first half after heading in a Ryan Yates flick. It was his second goal of the season and the justification of the coach’s decision to hand him a starter’s berth in the game.
Super Eagles-eligible defender Tosin Adarabiouo scored the equaliser for Fulham in the 54th minute as Joao Palhinha and Harrison Reed completed the 6-minute rally to take the game past Forest.
Lewis O’Brien scored Forest’s second in the 77th minute and the hosts pushed all game to get an equaliser but it never came through.
Awoniyi was substituted in the 70th minute while Dennis came on in the 88th of the match and it was a time too short to mastermind any impact of note.
He also became just the second Forest player to score in his first two home starts in the Premier League after Stan Collymore.
The loss keeps Forest rooted to 19th with six losses from seven games and face an early battle for survival.
