Chelsea are looking to sign a forward this window with Romelu Lukaku on loan at Inter Milan and Timo Werner linked with a move away from the club
Pierre Emerick Aubameyang left Arsenal in unpalatable circumstances as he was stripped off the team’s captaincy and was dropped to the bench.
His final days at the club were far from his desire and he left eventually for Barcelona on a free.
Aubameyang was an instant hit in the Camp Nou where he scored 11 goals in 17 La Liga games. He had scored 4 goals in 14 Premier League games before his exit.
Italian transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Chelsea have opened talks with the player and will also discuss with Barcelona.
“Chelsea are now considering Pierre Emerick Aubameyang as potential new striker. Discussions have already started on player side, still no bid to Barcelona.
“He’s one of the names in Chelsea list after meeting for Sesko and other targets,”
Aubameyang impressed at Arsenal until he began a dry spell which also led to his exit from the club.
The former AC Milan striker may find some pleasure in returning to London where he enjoyed living in during his time at the Emirates.
