The Super Eagles star’s next move has been in the balance, especially since the Hornets’ relegation last season
Super Eagles striker Emmanuel Dennis has revealed that he is comfortable at Watford, but he is not ruling out a transfer from the club.
Dennis was outstanding for Watford last season. The Nigerian striker took to the Premier League like fish to water, despite just arriving from Club Brugge last year.
However, his ten goals and six assists in 33 League games were not enough to help the Hornets avoid the drop.
Following their relegation, Watford would be looking to shed some financial weight, especially through selling some of their most marketable assets.
Dennis arrived for €4 million, but his stock has risen to €14 million as per transfermarkt. Nonetheless, Watford want to capitalize on Dennis’ records and are looking to make at least €20 million from a potential sale.
West Ham, Everton, and Nottingham Forest have been linked with the 24-year-old all summer, but a deal is yet to happen.
Dennis featured for Watford in their opening day Championship victory against Sheffield United, and he had a decent showing.
Speaking after the game, the Super Eagles striker did not rule out a possible departure from Vicarage Road.
“I enjoy the game today(against Sheffield United), we won the game, so I’m happy,” Dennis told Skysports as per Hammers news.
“I’m still a player of the team so I just do my job and we’ll see what happens.”
The transfer market closes at the end of August, and it is still unclear the favorite for Dennis’ signature.
Still, it would only be expedient for the Super Eagles star to take advantage of the situation and seal a return to the Premier League.
