The Nigerian striker has been seriously linked with the newly-promoted Serie A side in recent weeks, but the deal has now been ratified
Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers has sealed a permanent transfer to newly-promoted Serie A side Cremonese from Belgian club Genk.
Dessers was spectacular during his loan stint at Feyenoord last season, leading the dutch club to a final berth in the maiden season of the Europa Conference League with ten goals.
The Nigerian star returned to Genk in July after Feyenoord refused to sign him permanently. However, since his return, Dessers future was in the balance, with speculations linking him with Copenhagen, and other Italian sides.
Nonetheless, that phase will be something of the past now, as Cremonese have confirmed the procurement of the 27-year-old services from Genk in a deal believed to be worth €6.5 million(₦3 billion).

Following his move, Dessers joins up with compatriot David Okereke. He also becomes Cremonese’s second most expensive signing behind Okereke.
Dessers had a blistering start to the Jupiler League season, scoring three goals and assisting one in three games. The Nigerian hitman would look to replicate such returns with the Grigiorossi.
