Gli Amaranto are working on a deal to hand the versatile midfielder his third spell at the club
Italian Serie B side Reggina 1914 are preparing a move for Napoli midfielder Michael Folorunsho, claims transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio.
Folorunsho spent the second half of the 2021-22 season on loan at Reggina in what was his second spell with Gli Amaranto.
The 24-year-old first joined Reggina in 2020 on loan from Napoli and impressed, scoring six Serie B goals in 30 appearances.
The Felice Saladini-owned side wanted Folorunsho back at the Stadio Oreste Granillo last year, but Pordenone won the race to his signature.
However, he only stayed at Pordenone until January before he switched to Reggina.
Frosinone and Bari are two of the teams eyeing a move for Folorunsho, with the latter the first side to take Folorunsho on loan after joining Napoli in 2019 for €1 million.
An unnamed Serie A side was also reportedly interested in the attacking midfielder.
The Lazio academy product has two years left on his contract with Napoli, and his employers would be willing to let him leave permanently on a loan deal.
Folorunsho is currently with the Neapolitans in their preseason camp at Dimaro, but it appears he is not in the long-term plans of manager Luciano Spalletti.
The Rome-born midfielder is yet to make a single appearance for Napoli since signing for the side three years ago.
