There have been a lot of speculations surrounding the in-demand Nigerian forward, but his club’s football chief maintains there is no concrete offer on the table
Napoli Sporting Director Cristiano Giuntoli has confessed that several clubs have enquired about Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen, but no official offer has yet been received.
After another decent campaign during which he scored 14 Serie A and four Europa League goals, Osimhen is back on the shopping lists of Europe’s biggest clubs.
England is the home of many of Osimhen’s most significant admirers, with Manchester United, Newcastle, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur linked with the former Lille lad.
Arsenal were also in the conversation until recently when the Gunners signed Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus from Manchester City.
German interest in Osimhen has also surfaced, with Bayern Munich believed to be preparing a move for the Nigerian international.
The Bundesliga champions want Osimhen to replace top man Roberto Lewandowski, who is haggling for a dream move to Barcelona.
Napoli’s director Giuntoli has provided a clearer picture of things during a club press conference (via TuttoNapoli) to usher in the start of preseason preparations.
The former Carpi boss revealed that clubs have been calling to enquire about the availability of Osimhen.
And he confirmed that the 23-year-old would not depart the Stadio Diego Maradona on a cheap.
“(For Osimhen) Real offers, no. Calls of interest, yes,” Giuntoli said.
“Everyone knows that we have high expectations of him, he still has three years of the contract, and therefore the offer must be very, very important; everyone knows that.”
Amidst the transfer buzz, Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti believes Osimhen will be in Naples by the time the new season kicks off.
Spalletti focuses on helping Osimhen continue his development while working on exploiting the youngster’s excellent heading abilities.
“Osimhen has immense qualities: the deep run, the important dash,” Spalletti said.
“He still needs to learn something about movement at times. We did not use much for his great potential on headshots; this year, we will try to exploit him more.”
Osimhen joined Napoli in 2020 from Lille for an African transfer record, signing a five-year contract.

I think Osimhen is a quality player who has smartness to learn any tactic or any techniques by his vetern coach Spaletti , so in new season he will appear much stronger than last season .
