The Super Falcons will face the South Africans in the first game on Monday the 4th of July, hoping to begin the tournament on a positive note and reminding the rest of the continent about the team’s quality.
With star forward, Asisat Oshoala, versatile midfielder, Rashidat Ajibade, and the experience of veterans Onome Ebi, Rita Chikwelu and others, the Nigerians hope to lay down the marker.
South Africa walloped the Super Falcons 4-2 in front of home fans at the Aisha Buhari Cup with many players missing out of that tournament.
It was also a reminder to the level of devastation possessed by the South Africans.
