The Super Eagles star got another run-in as his side maintained their unbeaten run in the preseason
Super Eagles midfielder Tijani Samson saw 45 minutes of action as his Salzburg side staged a brilliant 3-2 comeback victory over Polish side Legia Warszawa.
Salzburg boss Matthias Jaissle gave Tijani his third start of preseason when his side locked horns with 15-time Ekstraklasa Legia Warszawa. However, it was a poor start for the Super Eagles midfielder.
Legia went ahead just two minutes into the game through Josue. Before the Austrian champions could respond, Legia made it 2-0 through striker Ernest Muci.
Salzburg were unable to break the Polish giants’ defense, and they took the two-goal deficit into the second half.
Tijani was hauled off at halftime, as coach Jaissle introduced six new players.
The substitutions paid off, as Benjamin Sesko who replaced Roko Simic scored two quick-fire goals within three minutes to restore parity.
Nigeria-eligible striker Junior Adamu then completed the comeback in the 64th minute to ensure his side ran out 3-2 winners.
