The Minister is a big fan of the Super Eagles, and he was impressed by their performance against the Falcons and true Parrots

Nigeria Sports Minister Sunday Dare has praised the Super Eagles for their emphatic 10-0 dismantling of Sao Tome and Principe at the Stade Adrar on Monday.

The Super Eagles claimed their second win of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against a very poor Sao Tome and Principe. Four goals from Victor Osimhen, two from Terem Moffi, then Moses Simon, Emmanuel Dennis, Peter Etebo, and Ademola Lookman added one each to complete the 10-0 bashing.

The victory was a significant one, as it became the Super Eagles’ biggest victory in their football history, ending the reign of the 10-1 demolition of Dahomey after almost 53 years.

The Sports Minister who has never hidden his support for the Super Eagles praised the team’s performance their feat.

“I congratulate the Super Eagles for this historic victory”, Dare said as per OgaNla media.

“It was not just the result but also the performance. It clearly confirms that the rebuilding process of the team is on course. This is a morale-boosting performance and I commend the team.”

Next up for Nigeria is the double header against Guinea Bissau, but that would come up later in August and September this year.
