Oshoala, Osimhen major winners at 2021 The Ballers Awards

The Ballers Awards 2021 was filled with glitz and glamour as several Super Eagles stars and Nigerian football stakeholders won various prizes

It was a thrilling 2021 The Ballers Awards as worthy Nigerian football stakeholders took home several prizes.

Napoli and Super Eagles attacker, Victor Osimhen won two awards on the night including Forward of the Year for the second consecutive year and the Male Baller of the Year categories.

Barcelona Femeni and Super Falcons star, Asisat Oshoala won the Fans Favourite Baller of the Year and Female Baller of the Year awards.

Other Super Eagles stars who won awards were Ahmed Musa, Joe Aribo, Zaidu Sanusi, Calvin Bassey and Maduka Okoye. Paul Onuachu and Anayo Iwuala also won different prizes on the night.

Asisat Oshoala is the Fans' Favourite Baller of the Year.

The event had some notable names in Nigerian football in attendance including Nigerian football legend, Segun Odegbami, Chairmans of Lagos State Football Association, Sola Aiyepeku, NFF Vice President, Barr. Seyi Akinwunmi, and Super Eagles and Red Bull Salzburg star, Samson Tijani.

Legendary Baller and Industry Icon awards were presented to Odegbami and Kunle Solaja while Akinwunmi won the Excellence in Leadership Award.

The room was filled with cheers when Justina Aniefiok was announced as the winner of the Best Sports Photography category.

The founder of Naija Footballers,the organisers of the award, Gbenga Salu was in an ecstatic mood as he delivered the closing remarks. The award ceremony, now in its fourth year recognises Nigeria’s finest footballers and football stakeholders.
