The former Leicester defender has been a rock in the Rangers backline this season
Three days after posting a solid performance in the Europa League final for the Gers, Calvin Bassey was back in the business of great displays in the final of the Scottish Cup.
Rangers had to labour through their second two hours of football in less than a week as Hearts stayed resolute for long spells of the game.
The Gers eventually overcame their foes and won 2-0 to win the Scottish Cup for the first time in 13 years.
In the middle of that victory was Nigerian defender, Bassey who shone brightly again and was presented with the man-of-the-match award.

Bassey described the feeling as “unbelievable” and thanked God for the win while he also appreciated his teammates for standing through the rigours of two painstaking games.
“Everyone’s worked so hard this season. We’ve tried to push every game and have played two extra times this week. It’s so hard but it just shows what kind of drive we have and how desperate we are to win something,” Bassey said.
”We are tired. We are shattered but we just have to keep going and show resilience and keep pushing on.”
He described the cup triumph as a confidence booster ahead of next season as they hope to try harder and work better to achieve better results.
