Nwakaeme could shock Trabzonspor and sign for archrivals

The Nigerian star’s future is in the balance as he is yet to renew his contract at Trabzonspor, and despite his legendary status at the club, he could make a shocking move to the capital

Nigerian striker Anthony Nwakaeme could dump Trabzonspor and sign for their close rivals Fenerbahce in the summer.

Nwakaeme’s contract at Trabzonspor expires at the end of the season, but the Super Lig leaders have been unable to tie down the 33-year to another deal because of his wage demands.

The Nigerian forward is enjoying his best season, with eleven goals and ten assists in 27 games. The former Cluj man is highly revered at Trabzon, and the club even made a statue of him at the Senol Gunes stadium.

However, according to TRHaber, Nwakaeme could hurt them and sign for their close rivals Fenerbahce who are offering him more money.

Trabzonspor and Fenerbahce have a severe rivalry, and if Nwakaeme leaves for Fenerbahce, it would be a major heist.
