The Super Eagles star might not score, but he always gives his opponents a tough time defending against him
AC Milan defender Pierre Kalulu has named Napoli talisman Victor Osimhen the most formidable player he has ever played.
Kalulu recently became a regular in the Milan backline replacing Calabria at right back. He faced Osimhen for the first time when the Rossoneri beat Napoli 1-0 in a thrilling encounter at the Diego Maradona Stadium in Naples.
Kalulu had an excellent game against Osimhen. The Super Eagles looked charged up for the tie as he was always running at the Milan backline and exploring his physicality. But Kalulu, alongside Fikayo Tomori, was always on hand to limit Osimhen’s influence.
Nonetheless, Osimhen left a mark, as the French youth international believes that the Osimhen experience is the toughest he has ever faced.
“The most difficult attacker to mark? Victor Osimhen,” Kalulu said as per Napoli Magazine.
“He is a forward who comes at you as if he is a defender. He always has desire.
“I played against some strikers who go deep, but not as well as him because he believes in his speed.
“You must always be concentrated. When we played, it was a good physical duel. He is a really good striker, really, really strong.”
Osimhen has been brilliant for the Partenopeans this season, netting twelve goals in 21 appearances. He would look to continue with his brilliant performances in the remaining six games as they continue their push for the title.
