Tottenham are back in the hunt for Super Eagles attacker Victor Osimhen as he’s lined up to replace Harry Kane, should the Three Lions attacker choose to leave the club.
According to Radio Kiss Kiss, Antonio Conte admires Osimhen and may be willing to take a chance on the Napoli attacker to test Napoli’s resolve.
The former Lille attacker has been a key cog in Napoli’s title bid this season, scoring 9 goals in 19 Serie A games and 13 in 24 games in all competitions.
The North Londoners had enquired about Osimhen in the past but were rebuffed by Napoli.
They join Newcastle whose interests have been registered and widely reported across the British and Italian press.
Tottenham struggled for long periods to replace skipper and unarguably the most important member of the squad, Kane last season before both parties eventually settled for a resolution.
Kane was the subject of a rejected £100m bid from Manchester City but the Tottenham management led by Chairman Daniel Levy rejected the bid.
With interests still expected to come Kane’s way this season, especially if Spurs miss out on Champions League football, Osimhen may be the man to turn to once again. The move however, isn’t certain to be one wanted by the Nigerian at the moment as he’s settled to life better at Naples.
