Super Falcons attacker, Asisat Oshoala has signed a new 2-year contract with Barcelona Femeni.

The contract was announced by the club on Thursday via its official Twitter account with the attacker saying she’s decided to ‘stay at home’.

The new deal will see the Super Falcons skipper stay at the club until 2024.

Oshoala said she doesn’t want to stop scoring for Barcelona as she posted a video to celebrate her new contract and express her happiness with the new development.

“I am very happy to continue in the best team in the world. Not only because of their football, you look outside the field of play, and it is because of how they treat the players to keep improving.

“I’m a striker and I want to continue scoring more goals. Love it. The goal is to keep growing and be happy,” she said.

Oshoala has scored 19 goals and assisted three times this season in 16 league games. Statistically, it’s her best season yet since she joined the team three and a half years ago.

The Ikorodu-born attacker has won two Spanish League titles, 1 Spanish Supercup, 2 Catalunya Cups, 1 Spanish Queen’s Cup and 1 Champions League title so far in her stay at Catalunya.

In February, she played her 100th game for Barcelona and is considered one of the fans’ favourites at the club.
