The Super Falcons forward has been superb for the former Spanish champions since joining from Norway last year
Atletico Madrid are pleased with the performances of Nigerian international striker Rasheedat Ajibade following her incredible goalscoring streak.
Ajibade has been almost unplayable in the Spanish Primera Division Femenina, scoring ten goals in 18 league matches for Atletico this season.
The 22-year-old’s latest strike arrived at the weekend when she netted the third goal as her side secured a 4-1 home win over Granadilla Tenerife.
It is the third consecutive match at the Estadio Wanda Atlético de Madrid Alcalá de Henares that Ajibade would hit the target in front of the home fans. She struck a brace in the 5-0 defeat of Sevilla last time out, and another brace in the 3-2 victory over city rivals Madrid before that.
Her scoring run has not gone unnoticed, with the club taking to their official Twitter account to applaud the Nigerian.
Atletico Madrid wrote (translated from Spanish): “Every time we play at home… Don’t say goal, say Ajibade!”

Ajibade’s exploit, though, is unlikely to help Atletico Madrid win any major trophy at the end of the season.
The Oscar Fernandez-tutored ladies have already been knocked out of the Spanish Cup and are a massive 26 points behind Asisat Oshoala’s Barcelona on the league table.
