The Hornets travel to Old Trafford to trade tackles against the Red Devils as they look to preserve their Premier League status, but they will be missing one of their Nigerian stars
Super Eagles star Samuel Kalu could be on the sidelines when Watford take on Manchester United on Saturday, as he is struggling with an ankle injury.
The former Bordeaux man left the Ligue 1 for Watford after a tumultuous start to the season. However, since he arrived in England in January, he has struggled to break into the first team.
Watford boss Roy Hodgson favours the likes of Emmanuel Dennis, Ismaila Sarr, and Cucho over the 24-year-old.
But with Hodgson frantically grasping at straws to help protect Watford’s Premier League status, Kalu would have been in contention this weekend.
Unfortunately, according to Hertslive, Kalu could miss out on the game at Old Trafford because of a slight ankle injury.
Hodgson will, however, hope that Emmanuel Dennis replicates his brilliance from the first leg when Watford humiliated Manchester United 4-1 at Vicarage Road.
The Hornets are currently four points from safety and need to start racking up points if they want to beat the drop.
