Nigerian stars run riot in Spanish Primera division

It was a festival of goals for two Super Falcons stars as they helped their sides secure important victories on matchday 20

Super Falcons stars Rasheedat Ajibade and Asisat Oshoala were in spectacular form as they guided Atletico Madrid and Barcelona, respectively, to solid victories in the Spanish Primera Division Feminino.

Ajibade, fresh off securing a three-year contract extension with Atletico Madrid, was explosive in their derby clash against Madrid CF Feminino. The Super Falcons star struck twice in the first half to give her side a 2-1 lead.

A second-half goal from Amanda Sampredo ensured that Atletico Madrid ran out with a 3-2 victory. The win made sure that Atletico Madrid preserved their third-place spot.

Meanwhile, another Super Falcons star caught fire in the Spanish Primera Division Feminino. Nigerian Striker Oshoala opened the scoring for Barcelona in their emphatic 4-1 victory over Levante.

Oshoala scored the first goal of the game in the 25th minute before goals from Patricia Guijarro, Jenifer Hermoso, and Caroline Hansen ensured that the Champions League holders completed a 4-1 rout away from home.

The victory further cemented Barcelona’s spot at the summit, 14 points above second-placed Real Sociedad.
