The Super Eagles star’s career has progressed astronomically in the last four years, and he could yet be on the move again
Former Orlando Pirates skipper Willem Jackson has advised the 1995 CAF Champions League winners to cash in on Nigerian defender Olisa Ndah.
The Super Eagles defender dumped Nigeria Professional League champions Akwa United after a successful season to seal a move to the Buccaneers last August.
And so far, Ndah has been outstanding. The former Remo Stars man has made 13 appearances for Orlando Pirates in the South African Premier League, helping his side to second place.
Jackson, a stalwart in the Orlando Pirates defence in the late ’90s, believes the former South African Champions need to cash in on Ndah if a good offer comes in.
“I just suspect there might be an interest because he’s a good player, hey,” Jackson told Kickoff.com.
“He’s still young, and he’s hot property at the moment, so why not let him go and make money and get somebody else in there.
“I know they are fighting for the league, honours, and all that, but don’t stay in his way, I think the team can make money out of him.
“It’s gonna be difficult to replace him at this time of the season, he’s an international player and all that, but ja what can you do you know, you need to let go,” he added.
The Nigeria international has witnessed a steady growth in his career since 2019. The 24-year-old was still in the second tier of Nigerian football just three years ago, but three years on, he made his first appearance for the Super Eagles at a major tournament- the Africa Cup of Nations.
