The Napoli hitman has been out of action for almost three weeks, but he could return to action very soon
Super Eagles and Napoli forward Victor Osimhen could return to competitive action as early as the 19th of December when Napoli travel to the San Siro to face AC Milan.
The 22-year-old sustained a nasty facial injury at the same stadium three weeks ago, albeit against Inter Milan’s Milan Skriniar.
However, the former Lille man underwent a successful surgery before he resumed individual training earlier this week.
Osimhen was initially billed to return to competitive action at the end of January, but with the quick pace of his recovery, he could return way earlier.
According to Football Italia, as per Calciomercato, Osimhen’s return depends on how fast his injury heals and how he is able to adapt to his protective mask. All of that could happen before the Milan game.
And if he passes his assessment, he could be in contention for a place next week.
Meanwhile, it is also good news for Nigeria who also need the 22-year-old to be fit enough to participate in the next AFCON.
