The Gers kept up their good form with a 2-0 win over St Johnstone, but it was their in-form Nigerian star that grabbed the headlines again
Rangers manager, Giovanni van Bronckhorst, has said he was not surprised Aribo once again got the man of the match following the team’s 2-0 win over St Johnstone.
Goals from Alfredo Morelos and Ryan Kent on Wednesday night helped Rangers maintain their four point lead in the Scottish Premiership.
But despite not scoring or providing an assist, it was Aribo’s performance that caught the eye once again. The Nigerian international has been arguably Rangers best player this season, and he showed it again on Wednesday.
Aribo made five key passes, hit the woodwork once and had a pass accuracy of 91% in the Gers win over The Saints.
However, the highlight of his game was when he brought a long ball with a brilliant first touch that left the whole crowd at Ibrox in awe of his ability.

Aribo’s performance was rewarded with a MOTM, and his coach, GVB, said he knew the Nigerian would win it after seeing the touch.
“When he controlled the ball out of the air, the high ball, I knew he was going to be man of the match,” the former Arsenal star said as per Rangers Twitter.

Aribo has scored six goals and provided three assists in 18 league appearances for Rangers this season. He will hope to continue his fine form when the Gers welcome Dundee United on Saturday.
