The Nigerian striker is in the form of his life, but he could miss the Hornets clash against Thomas Tuchel’s men on Wednesday
Watford are sweating on the fitness of their red-hot striker Emmanuel Dennis ahead of their Premier League clash against Chelsea.
Dennis was taken off for Ashley Fletcher in the 71st minute of Watford’s 4-2 loss to Leicester City at the King Power Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
It was a surprise substitution as the Nigerian international had just scored the Hornets second goal to reduce the deficit to 3-2.
But following the match, it was confirmed that Dennis was taken off after taking a knock, and he could miss the next game against the leaders, Chelsea.
“With Dennis and Masina, I’m not sure at the moment. Tomorrow we’ll check everybody because Dennis came out and Masina didn’t finish well, Ranieri told Watford’s website.
Losing Dennis will be a blow to Watford’s hopes of causing an upset against Thomas Tuchel’s man. The former Cologne striker has had a brilliant start to life at Vicarage Road since joining Club Brugge.
The 24-year-old made history against the Foxes on Sunday as he became the sixth man in Premier League’s history to reach five goals and five assists in 12 or fewer games.
