The Nigerian international made his return to the Neapolitans lineup, but he could not add to his five league goals this season

Victor Osimhen made his return to action as Napoli suffered a minor blow in the Serie A title race after they played out a 1-1 draw against Hellas Verona at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium on Sunday.

Osimhen, who has five league goals this season, was unlucky not to score on his return, with the post denying the 22-year-old.

The Super Eagles star had missed Napoli’s last two games due to a calf injury but was back in the starting lineup on Sunday.

But despite not scoring, Osimhen’s all-round play was still impressive. The former Lille man completed 90% of his passes, while he also made two key passes.

Napoli went into the game, hoping to take the sole control of the top spot ahead of the Milan derby. However, they got off to a bad start as Giovanni Simeone continued his impressive form to put Verona ahead in the 13th minute.

Luciano Spalletti’s men hit back five minutes later, though, through Giovanni Di Lorenzo. However, they could not find the winner as both sides had to share the spoils.

The draw puts Napoli on top, one point clear of AC Milan, but the Rossoneri could reclaim the top spot if they beat rivals Inter Milan later tonight.

Goal post denied him against AS Roma , today the same scenario. Osimhen should be precise and also pray for more luck in front of goal

Osimhen is a great player, but need to be more calculative from 18 yard box when targeting a goal, moreover, those who love him should keep praying for his success, Osimhen should not be ignorance of the fact that there are bunches of adversaries, enemies of progress he needs to tackled through prayers, he should make God his helper.
Please give your life to Christ and he will be your defense.
