Report: Napoli target another Super Eagles star

The Neapolitans already have a Nigerian star in their ranks, but they may be set to add another Nigerian international next summer

Napoli have identified Super Eagles full-back Ola Aina as a potential transfer target when the summer window opens next June.

The Nigerian international is currently on the books of another Serie A club, Torino. His contract with the Turin-based side expires in 2023, although there have been reports of a possible extension.

And According to Kiss Kiss Napoli via Tutto Napoli, the Serie A leaders are looking to strengthen their left side of the defence and have included Aina in a list of their targets.

Mario Rui is Napoli’s current left-back, but the Neapolitans are looking for a younger player as the Portuguese star turns 31 next May.

Aina fits the role perfectly as he is just 25 and can play as a left-back and a right-back. A potential move could see him join Osimhen, who has been Napoli’s leading man this season.

  • That I think is a welcome development.. Ola is a good player with a big heart to win game any day anytime.
Today England and football loving fans are happy for James of Chelsea.. most times I compare Ola to James, which I also believe him Ola have extra advantage as he can fit in well in both wings..
All Ola need is just opportunity and a club like Napoli coming for him if there is any truth in it is a welcome development which I will urge him to graph it with both hands.
Not just Ola Kelechi Iheanacho will sit in perfectly with Napoli which I believe will restore his old grory again...
