The former Paris Saint Germain (PSG) star was known for his extraordinary skills, and one former Arsenal star was on the receiving end during their playing days in the English top-flight

Former Super Eagles captain Austin Jay-Jay Okocha has spoken about that moment he embarrassed former Arsenal star Ray Parlour.

Okocha was known for his jaw-dropping skills, which sometimes leave players feeling embarrassed. Parlour was one of the players that got embarrassed by Okocha’s magical skills not once but twice.

In a Premier League game between Bolton and Arsenal in 2003, the former Nigerian international received a pass before scooping the ball past Parlour’s head.

However, while that was impressive, it was his rainbow flick that wowed fans. With the scores tied at 2-2 late in the game, Okocha had the chance to hold on to the ball, but instead, he produced a ridiculous rainbow flick on the line that left Parlour embarrassed.

And speaking about the skill eighteen years later, Okocha revealed it was something he perfected.

“I mean, it was something I perfected, if you know, Okocha told Ally McCoist and Gabriel Agbonlahor on their Talksport Program.

“And it’s all about doing it at the right time and at the right moment.”

“You know we were trying to see off the game.”

“We played a draw, which was a massive result for us and in that little corner, you know that was what went on for me,” he added.

Bolton later went on to avoid relegation that season, while Arsenal finished the season as unbeaten champions.
