The 22-year-old has taken Serie A by storm this campaign, and that has earned him praises from one of the league’s icons

Former Inter Milan star Sinisa Mihajlovic has praised Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen ahead of Bologna’s Serie A clash against Napoli on Thursday.

Mihajlovic is the current coach of Bologna, and he will be in the dugout at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium when his side take on the best team in the league this season.

Mihajlovic’s men are not only taking on the best team in the league so far, but they will also come face to face with one of the best strikers in the division in Osimhen.

The Super Eagles star has been arguably Napoli’s best player this season, with nine goals in ten matches, including five in the Italian top-flight.

And ahead of the clash on Thursday, Mihajlovic has taken time out to praise Osimhen’s qualities, adding that he is a better player than Chelsea’s Romelu Lukaku.

“He seems like he has an engine. He’s ‘ignorant’, but in the good sense of the word,” Mihajlovic said at a press conference, as per Football Italia.

He runs, opens the game, restarts, scores. “He’s really strong, but I didn’t expect this much. It’s also true that they paid €70m for him.

“He shifts the balance even more than Lukaku,”

“What do they eat in Naples,” he added.

A win for Napoli on Thursday will see them return to the top of the table after they were overtaken by AC Milan, who beat Torino on Tuesday.
