The Foxes already boast two top Nigerian footballers in Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi but are working on adding a third before the summer transfer window closes in the coming hours

Leicester City have kicked off negotiations with German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig for exciting winger Ademola Lookman, according to reports.

The Athletic, as per Transfermarkt, says the Foxes plan to take up the Super Eagles hopeful on a year loan with an obligation to buy at the end of the season.

The 23-year-old forward has been surplus to requirements at the German club for a while now, spending last campaign at Fulham on loan.

He was brilliant in London, scoring four goals and creating four assists in 35 league matches for the Cottagers.

But his exploits could not rescue Fulham from relegation, forcing the English club to bypass the option of sealing a permanent deal for the former England youth international.

Leicester have brought in Zambian attacker Patson Daka to add to a forward line that already boasts the talents of Nigeria’s Kelechi Iheanacho and Jamie Vardy.

But the Foxes manager Brendan Rodgers needs reinforcements on the wings with James Maddison linked to a move away from the Kings Power Stadium all summer.

Lookman is thought to be keen on the move, but the reports maintain that Leicester and Leipzig are not close to agreeing on a deal with the transfer deadline day a few hours away.
