The Nigerian International continued to show his quality in the Ligue 1 as he helped his Nantes side to their first win of the 2021/22 Season
Moses Simon supplied two assists to help Nantes secure a 2-0 victory over Metz at the Stade de la Beaujoire.
The Jos-born forward has become the assist king in France this season. In their opening game of the season against Monaco, it was his corner kick which Jean-Charles Castelletto converted, that helped them secure a 1-1 draw.
And on Sunday, his assists in both halves of the game helped The Yellow House secure their first three points of the season.
Nantes took the lead in the 12th minute when Simon teed up Randal Muani in the box, who calmly slotted the ball past the reach of Alexandre Oukidja.
All efforts from Metz to restore parity in the first half amounted to nought as Nantes kept it solid at the back while trying to catch Metz on the counter.
In the second half, it took just four minutes for Simon to replicate his brilliance as his inch-perfect Cross met the head of Ludovic Blas, who calmly put the ball in the net.
After the goal, Nantes returned to their low block tactics, which Metz found hard to penetrate. In the end, even with the lion share of the possession, Metz could not muster a goal.
It was not just the assist that set Simon apart. He also had three successful dribbles and two shots on target to cap off a wonderful performance.
