The Super Eagles star is set for a new adventure after he joined the Greek Champions in a deal that keeps him at the club till 2025

Henry Onyekuru has expressed his delight after signing for Olympiacos. The Reds and Whites announced the signing of the Super Eagles star from Monaco on a four-year deal.

Following the signing, Onyekuru took to his social media accounts to share his happiness, saying he can’t wait to get started at his new club.

The former Eupen striker is also aware of the challenges that lie ahead, but he believes he will overcome with God on his side.

On his Twitter account, Onyekuru said: Happy to announce that I have joined @Olympiacosfc. I look forward to this new league and new challenge and new home! May God guide and protect this new journey, I can’t wait to get started! #WeKeepOnDreaming #Olympiacos

Onyekuru will be hoping to put his disappointing two years stay with Monaco behind him. The 24-year-old joined the Ligue 1 side from Everton in 2019, but he struggled throughout his time at the club.

In his first season, Onyekuru was hampered by injuries and was sent out on loan to Galatasaray in the second half of that campaign.

After his loan spell, he returned to Stade Louis II, but he struggled again in his second season and joined Galatasaray again in another loan deal in January.

Following the completion of his second loan stint, it was clear he had to leave Monaco permanently. Galatasaray and Fenerbahce expressed interest but could not meet Monaco’s demands, which allowed Olympiacos to swoop in for the Nigerian.
