One of Europe’s most in-demand youngsters of Nigerian descent has opted to discard any transfer move this summer, committing to a long term contract with his Eredivisie side
Chukwunonso ‘Noni’ Madueke has inked a new four-year contract with PSV Eindhoven that will keep him with the Red-and-white until the summer of 2025.
Agreeing to a new deal with the Dutch giants has put to bed all the transfer rumours surrounding the English youth international of Nigerian descent.
Noni Madueke had been linked to virtually most of the top clubs in Europe, with Borussia Dortmund, Manchester United, Arsenal, Leicester City, and Tottenham Hotspurs believed to be the front-runners for his signature.
It was no surprise because the 19-year-old has been excellent for PSV on the domestic scene and in Europe, drawing a comparison with former Real Madrid star Arjen Robben.
However, the exciting attacker has committed his future to the Philips Stadion landlords after extending his contract until 2025.
“Ever since I’ve been here, I’ve noticed from everything that this is the best place to develop,” the youngster told the club’s official website.
“I, therefore, did not hesitate for a moment to stay here longer. I have felt at home at PSV from day one.
“We are going to make it a great time together in Eindhoven, with wonderful football evenings.”
The Tottenham academy product left the North London club three years ago. Madueke has already found the back of the net six times in nine games for PSV.
