A disappointing draw at home on the final day of last season means that one of Nigeria’s finest football export missed out on the UEFA Champions League for the Europa League this term
Many football fans have expressed their optimism that there will be a rain of goals for Victor Osimhen in the UEFA Europa League this campaign after a barren run in the competition last season.
An unfair dose of ill-luck, injury, suspension, and coronavirus-related problems left Osimhen with no single goal in three matches in the Europa League as Napoli crashed out to Granada in the knockout stage of the competition.
That was a tad disappointing for a striker who notched two goals in five UEFA Champions League games for Lille in the previous campaign.
But with boss Luciano Spalletti now in charge of Napoli, Osimhen has been tipped to fulfil his enormous potential and become a goalscoring machine, a sentiment shared by a section of football fans.

The Europa League posed a three-world challenge regarding the Nigerian international on their Twitter platform, to which several fans responded in praise of the 22-year-old goalscorer.

A 1-1 draw to Verona at the Diego Maradona Stadium in the season finale dumped Napoli in the Europa League for the second consecutive year.
The Italian side will look to unleash their Nigerian import on the rest of Europe when the group stage of the competition kicks off in September.
