The 22-year-old has been linked with a possible move to Tottenham Hotspur as a potential replacement for Harry Kane
Napoli have revealed that Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen is not for sale despite interest from Premier League side Spurs.
Osimhen only joined Napoli from Lille for a club and African record fee of €81.3m last summer, but he is on the radar of the Lillywhites, who could lose their talisman, Kane, this summer.
Soccernet had earlier reported that Spurs had identified the Nigerian striker as a potential replacement for Kane, who is on the radar of Manchester City and Juventus.
However, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, per Diretta goal, Napoli’s president Aurelio De Laurentiis has no interest in selling his prized asset after just a season.
Osimhen had an indifferent campaign last season, missing more than three months of action due to a shoulder injury and coronavirus.
But he still managed to score ten times in the league, including seven in the last 11 games, and the Neapolitans expect him to build on that in the new campaign.
The former Lille striker is also central to the plans of Luciano Spalletti’s, who replaced Gennaro Gattuso as Gli Azzurri coach.
Spalletti has a history of getting the best out of his strikers, and he hopes to do that with Osimhen next season.
