The numbers in the Super Eagles camp are increasing despite the spate of withdrawals that have affected their preparations for the big clash

Six new players, including Kelechi Iheanacho, have arrived at the Super Eagles camp in Austria ahead of the international friendly clash against Cameroon on Friday.

Aside from Iheanacho, Oghenekaro Etebo, John Noble, Abraham Marcus, Emmanuel Anayo, and Abdullahi Shehu are the other players to arrive in Austria today.

The six players join William Troost-Ekong to increase the number of players in camp to 18. Ekong is the first player to land at the team’s base on Monday.

Others in camp are Maduka Okoye, Alex Iwobi, Wilfred Ndidi, Chidozie Awaziem, Jamilu Collins, Terem Moffi, Peter Olayinka, Samson Tijani, Moses Simon and Valentine Ozornwafor

Their arrival is a massive boost for Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr, who has been forced to deal with many withdrawals.

Six players, including Victor Osimhen, have already pulled out of the 24-man squad, leaving Rohr with just 18 players.

Nigeria take on Cameroon in a doubleheader friendly encounter, with the first match taking place on Friday before the second game on Tuesday.

The Super Eagles have met their arch-rivals 22 times, winning 11 times and losing just four games, with the rest ending in draws.
