The former youth international failed to impress in Germany last term but has been offered a second chance at success in France
French side Amiens SC are on the verge of completing a move for Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare from Latvian side Valmieras SC, as per the Courrier-Picard.
Tolu will look to put behind him a disappointing season in the German Bundesliga as he inks a two-year loan deal with the Ligue 2 side.
Amiens have the option of making his stay permanent should the 20-year-old forward impress in France.
Tolu came to prominence in the Latvian top-flight last season after scoring 16 times in 15 games for Valmieras.
The former Golden Eaglets star then earned a loan move to Cologne in the Bundesliga this campaign, but he didn’t register a single goal in 12 league matches.
The German side waived their option to convert his temporary spell to a permanent one.
The 20-year-old’s potentials are undeniable, and he has another chance to help the LFP slayers secure promotion to the Ligue 1 during his time in the lower league.
Cologne flop. Lol our make-believe Nigerian journalists only know how to talk down on Nigerian players sha
