The 24-year-old's scored his ninth league goal of the season on Thursday night, and that puts him on an exclusive list of Nigerian stars that have played in the Premier League

Kelechi Iheanacho became the sixth Nigerian to score 30 or more goals in the Premier League after scoring in Leicester City's 3-0 thrashing of West Brom on Thursday night.

Iheanacho fired home in the 36th minute to help the Foxes maintain their third spot in the race for champions league qualification.

The Nigerian's strike against the Baggies takes his tally in the league this season to nine- the most he has scored in a single campaign.

But more importantly, he joins Yakubu Aiyegbeni, Efan Ekoku, Kanu Nwankwo, Peter Odemwingie, Shola Ameobi as the Nigerians that have scored 30 or more goals in the Premier League.

Aiyebeni is Nigeria's most prolific forward in the league with 95 goals. The former Everton and Blackburn star is followed by Kanu Nwankwo, who scored 54 goals during his spell with Arsenal, West Brom and Portsmouth.

Ekoku sits third on the list with 52 goals while Ameobi (43) and Odemwingie (36) round up the top five.
