The Super Eagles defender continued his brilliant scoring run as the Baggies stunned Wolves to secure their first win under Sam Allardyce
Semi Ajayi was on target for the second consecutive game as West Brom secured a stunning 3-2 win over Wolves at the Molineux Stadium.
Ajayi has had success in front of goal this season, scoring in West Brom’s draw against Liverpool last month while he was also on target in the FA Cup loss to Blackpool last weekend.
He also had an effort ruled as a Ruben Dias own goal in the Baggies draw against Etihad. His goal on Saturday afternoon was his second in 17 league matches.
The game started with Wolves on the front foot, but it was West Brom that took the lead against the run of play courtesy of a penalty from Matheus Pereira after Callum Robinson was fouled in the box.
However, strikes from Fabio Silva and Willy Boly in the 38th and 43rd minute respectively turned the tie around for Nuno Espirito’s men.
But there was to be more drama as Semi Ajayi headed West Brom level seven minutes after the break before another penalty from Pereira in the 56th minute completed the turnaround.
Wolves piled forward in numbers for an equaliser, but West Brom defended resiliently to seal the maximum points.
